About Us
We distribute biodegradable sugarcane bagasse packaging in Nicaragua.
Packaging that returns to the earth
Spherona started from a simple idea: single-use packaging should not outlive us by centuries. We distribute across Nicaragua a full line of tableware and containers made from sugarcane bagasse, the fibre left over once the juice has been pressed from the cane. It is an agricultural residue that used to be burned and is now turned into plates, trays, bowls and cups.
Why bagasse
Bagasse is a fibre recovered from an agricultural by-product — not from a felled tree, and not from petroleum. The products handle both heat and cold, are suitable for food contact, and break down in a fraction of the time plastic or polystyrene takes.
How we sell
We sell by the full box, at prices built for businesses buying in volume. Every product in the shop lists pieces per box, inner sleeve packing, dimensions and weight, so you can plan your storage and freight before you order.
Who we serve
Restaurants and quick-service kitchens, delivery operations, cafés, hotels, catering companies, supermarkets and wholesale distributors looking to move their disposable packaging to a lower-impact alternative without giving up performance.
